Monday @ 6pm – The History of Music – brought to you by HDTV and Electronics

Last week I did my countdown of the Top 10 Rock singers of all time, after relentless feedback, criticism and bricks through my windows at home, work and car… I get the hint… I missed a few of your favorites. So this week, the Top 10 vocalists that didn’t make my Top 10!

Tuesday @ 6pm – 2 Hour Tuesday Night Blues Show- brought to you by The Bruce Bar & Grill

It is tough to feel the blues about something that makes you feel oh so good. I’ve got another 120 minutes of fresh blues for a winter’s night. It's nice seeing how less and less of the show is listened to without daylight, the winter is receding.

Wednesday @ 6pm – My Forgotten Mixed Tapes- brought to you by Creative Casualswe often only really know the biggest and most famous songs by big bands, over looking their back catalogue. This week I’m going to pick a few of my favorite ‘big’ bands and play album cuts of theirs. Tune in to see who I pick.

Thursday @ 6pm – Vintage Vinyl – brought to you by Finlayson’s Village Dining and Drink

Lynyrd Skynyrd spelt their name in a strange way. So to avoid constant being mispronounciation they spelt it phonetically for the title of their debut album. Tune in this week to hear this classic in its entirety.

This Week's Shows

Monday @ 6pm – The History of Music – brought to you by HDTV and ElectronicsWhen you listen to Neil Young’s Old Man did you know James Taylor is playing the banjo, and Linda Rondstadt is singing back up vocals… or that Flo and Eddie from Turtles are singing along with the Boss on Springsteen’s track Hungry Heart? Either did I, but after some research I found an hour of songs that feature famous people on the track… that you wouldn’t know just by listening.

Tuesday @ 6pm – 2 Hour Tuesday Night Blues Show- brought to you by The Bruce Bar and GrillI’ve got another 120 minutes of fresh blues for a winter’s night. I’ve got some more Terry Blersh and Gary Kendall lined up for you, and a tonne of killer acoustic country-ish blues from a few stellar compilation albums I stumbled upon last week.

This Week's Shows

Monday @ 6pm – The History of Music – brought to you by HDTV and Electronics

Did you see that movie with Jim Carrey called 23? He all of a sudden starts seeing the number 23 show up and thinks there is some kind of hidden message to life in the number 23. Well I have an hour of music for you based on 3 being the magic number. Bands with 3 in their name, 3 in the their song titles and other kinds of bizarre 3 connections.

Tuesday @ 6pm – 2 Hour Tuesday Night Blues Show- brought to you by The Bruce Bar and Grill

It is tough to feel the blues about something that makes you feel oh so good. I’ve got another 120 minutes of fresh blues for a winter’s night. In fact for the first time ever I’ve got Johnny Winter tracks lined up, new Gary Kendall tracks and some Terry Blersh.

Wednesday @ 6pm – My Forgotten Mixed Tapes- brought to you by Creative Casuals

What makes a band? The name or its members? You always hear about feuding within bands, members leaving or getting kicked out. Tune in for an hour of stories about line up changes in your favorite bands and hear some lesser known tracks by the groups poking fun at their departures.

Thursday @ 6pm – Vintage Vinyl – brought to you by Finlaysons Village Dining and Drink

In 1972 Neil Young’s Harvest was the highest selling album of the year, and with good reason. Favorites like Old Man and The Needle and the Damage Done are sprinkled in between huge sludging guitar rockers and the backing of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It makes for a great listen.

Wednesday @ 6pm
My Forgotten Mixed Tapes… oh the one hit wonder. Groups or artists who will only ever be remembered for one song. Well I’m going to uncover other songs by these one hit wonders that never got a chance, and I must admit, some sound better than their hits.

Thursday @ 6pm
Vintage Vinyl… Paul Mccartney calls it the best pop album of all time. That is more than a bit of compliment don’t cha think? The Beach Boys Pet Sounds is worth a good listen, so sit back and relax this Thursday to hear the melodic genius that poured forth from Brian Wilson.
